Stephanie McMahon has long been a public face of WWE, but at home, her life has centered on family.

The daughter of longtime WWE chairman Vince McMahon, Stephanie married Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003 after their on-screen romance in the early 2000s turned real. The two were married in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and together they’ve built a family with three daughters: Aurora Rose, Murphy Claire, and Vaughn Evelyn.

While WWE fans have watched Stephanie evolve from an on-screen authority figure to a behind-the-scenes corporate leader, her role as a mother has remained largely private.

That’s why her recent comments on the What’s Your Story? podcast stood out. During an episode featuring WWE Superstar Natalya, Stephanie opened up about a deeply personal loss she experienced earlier in her life—one that existed alongside the family she and Levesque eventually grew.

“I had a miscarriage at one point, and it’s devastating,” Stephanie said during the conversation.

She explained that pregnancy loss is often kept quiet, even though it’s far more common than many realize. “You never really know until you tell someone that you had a miscarriage, and then you find out tons of women that you now have had miscarriages,” she said. “It’s just something we don’t share that I think if we did talk about more, it would be helpful.”

Stephanie acknowledged that having a supportive family doesn’t erase the emotional toll of that experience. She described the loss as both painful and isolating, particularly when people feel pressure to move forward without discussing it openly. “From a mental health standpoint as well, it’s very hard to go through that,” she said.

The WWE executive also spoke about how shared experiences can create unexpected connections. She recalled reaching out to former WWE star Carmella after learning they had both experienced miscarriages.

“When you find out that people you love, relate to, look up to— that really, truly, we all have problems, and we’re here to help one another,” Stephanie said. “Because at the end of the day, all we have is each other.”
