Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made another high-profile sports appearance over the weekend, showing up courtside for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
According to The Associated Press, the couple arrived shortly before tipoff as the Cavaliers sought to avoid falling further into a hole in the series after dropping the first two games in New York. Kelce, a Cleveland Heights native, appeared fully locked into the game from the start, frequently reacting to big plays and cheering on the Cavs from his courtside seat.
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came during the third quarter, when Swift and Kelce appeared on the arena video board with Cleveland trailing 91-82. Fans erupted as Kelce lifted his beer and chugged it while wearing Cavaliers colors and a team cap. Swift reacted by covering her mouth and laughing as the crowd responded to the scene.
The appearance marked another crossover moment between sports and pop culture for the couple, who have become regular fixtures at major sporting events since going public with their relationship. Swift spent much of the past two NFL seasons attending Kansas City Chiefs games, becoming a familiar face at Arrowhead Stadium during Kelce’s playoff runs and Super Bowl appearances.
Their latest outing comes during an already busy offseason for Kelce. Earlier this year, the tight end signed a reported three-year, $54 million extension with the Chiefs while also remaining in headlines for his upcoming wedding to Swift.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested the pair is planning a summer ceremony, with New York City emerging as the latest rumored location after earlier speculation centered around Rhode Island.
Before becoming one of the NFL’s most recognizable stars, Kelce grew up in Northeast Ohio and has maintained close ties to the city. He and his brother, Jason Kelce, were previously honored by the Cavaliers with a special bobblehead promotion during the 2024 NBA season. Kelce has also attended Cavaliers playoff games in the past.
Swift, meanwhile, has increasingly shown up at major sporting events outside of football. In 2024, she joined Kelce at Yankee Stadium during the American League Championship Series.
