Mike Tyson says he’s prepared to share the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr.—and he’s already envisioning the result.

In a recent conversation with Hard Rock Bet, the former heavyweight champion confirmed that discussions for the high-profile matchup are underway, with both fighters expressing interest.

According to Tyson, the bout originated from Mayweather’s side. “Floyd wanted to fight me,” Tyson said, adding that there’s no animosity between the two. “I think I’ve got a decent relationship with him. I don’t hate him. No harsh feelings.”

While the fight date has not been finalized, Tyson suggested the spring as a likely target, saying it could happen “maybe in March or April.”

Mayweather retired at 50-0 and often positions himself among boxing’s elite. Tyson did not challenge that perspective. “He’s big time, there’s no doubt,” he acknowledged.

But he also believes that this fight has the potential to stand apart from everything both men have done. “It’s capable of superseding all my fights,” Tyson said. “This is taking boxing to a new level.”

When asked directly whether he expects to stop Mayweather, Tyson didn’t hesitate. “It looks like he’s going to get knocked out,” he said.

Tyson also reflected on his recent performance against Jake Paul, explaining that he over trained and pushed himself too aggressively. Health issues at the time limited him more than he wanted to admit, but he says those concerns are behind him now.

“I feel good right now. This is the best I’ve felt,” Tyson shared. “I learned from my last fight. I need to relax more.”

As for what comes after Mayweather, Tyson didn’t commit to anything, but didn’t close the door either. He emphasized that at this stage, fighting is a form of collaboration as much as it is a form of competition.

“Anything’s possible,” he said. “I fight people because they’re my friends. It’s about how we’re going to do business together. He’s going to be a fighter for so long; he’ll be a businessman forever. When you combine the two, you’re very lucky.”
