Karl-Anthony Towns has officially moved on from his longtime Minnesota home.

According to the Minnesota Business-Journal, the NBA All-Star’s sprawling Medina, Minnesota estate—measuring roughly 17,000 square feet—has sold for approximately $4.75 million, according to real estate reports obtained by the outlet.

The sale of the lakeside home, completed on January 2, comes just over a year after Towns was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the New York Knicks in late 2024.

Towns originally purchased the property in 2018 for just over $4.5 million, shortly after signing a significant contract extension with the Timberwolves.

Situated on more than five acres near Mooney Lake, the estate quickly became known as one of the more extravagant athlete-owned homes in the Twin Cities area. Designed for both privacy and entertainment, the mansion offered a mix of luxury features rarely found under one roof.

Inside, the home featured an indoor basketball court, multiple entertainment spaces, and a large kitchen with all the bells and whistles, designed to accommodate large gatherings.

One of the standout features was an indoor pool complex complete with a waterslide, hot tub, infrared sauna, and a drop-down movie screen, turning the space into part water park, part private theater.

The home also featured a bar imported from Scottsdale, Arizona, a game room, and additional leisure areas designed for hosting teammates and guests. Outdoor amenities reportedly included a tennis court and additional recreational space spread across the expansive grounds.

The mansion was first listed in 2025, shortly after Towns settled into life in New York following the blockbuster trade. Around that same period, the property drew unwanted attention.

In late 2024 and early 2025, Towns’ home was targeted during a burglary connected to a larger organized crime ring that reportedly focused on high-profile professional athletes. Jewelry and watches were among the items stolen, and to date the property has not been recovered.
