The last episode of WWE Raw delivered a partnership nobody saw coming, as Cody Rhodes stepped directly into CM Punk’s escalating conflict with Logan Paul and The Vision.
According to Wrestling, Inc., the moment unfolded after Punk called Paul to the ring to address last week’s punch, prompting Paul to arrive with his faction and warn that he had “a whole new Vision.” Tensions climbed fast as Paul Heyman added fuel by taking a shot at AJ Lee. Punk kept his stance, telling the group to step inside the ring if they wanted to settle it.
The standoff shifted the second reinforcements hit the scene. “Main Event” Jey Uso rushed in first, sliding into the ring and backing Punk as The Vision crowded the apron.
However, the real turning point came when Cody Rhodes’ music began playing. Rhodes sprinted to the ring, evening the numbers and igniting an all-out fight. In the scramble, Rhodes drove a chair into Bron Breakker’s midsection while Punk swung another across Bronson Reed’s back. Rhodes and Uso then sent Reed over the top rope with a clothesline, clearing the ring and shutting down The Vision’s advance.
After the chaos, all three were confronted backstage by WWE official Adam Pearce. Punk made his position clear, telling Pearce he already had a team in place and to pass the message along to Heyman.
Raising his voice, Punk shouted, “Regal!” Seconds later, William Regal stepped forward and issued his signature declaration: “WARGAMES!” The call officially set the stage for Survivor Series on November 29.
Days later, on WWE SmackDown, the growing alliance expanded again. Jimmy Uso announced himself as the fourth member joining Punk, Rhodes, and Jey Uso for the Men’s WarGames match.
The addition followed weeks of shifting momentum in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. Punk recently captured the title from Jey at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and The Vision—particularly Breakker and Reed—have made it known they intend to recapture the championship they previously pulled from an injured Seth Rollins.
Paul had briefly appeared aligned with Punk and Jey, but his later turn toward The Vision solidified the rivalry driving WarGames.
Before Jimmy’s announcement, Paul Heyman and Reed were seen scouting options for their own remaining team slots. Meanwhile, Rhodes was scheduled for a main-event match against Reed on SmackDown, with both Usos checking on him backstage as he prepared. It was there Jimmy confirmed he had spoken with Punk and was officially joining the team.
With four members locked in, the babyface side of WarGames is set—and the alliance that started with Punk and Rhodes on WWE Raw now heads into Survivor Series fully formed.
