Adrien Broner says he still has unfinished business in boxing. After weeks of viral controversy surrounding his behavior outside the ring, the former four-division champion is now publicly talking about training again—and insisting there’s at least one more title run left before he retires for good.
During a recent livestream appearance with DeenTheGreat in Miami, Broner repeatedly brought the conversation back to boxing, even as the stream drifted into jokes, nightlife talk, and fan interaction. At one point, as viewers flooded the chat with comments about partying and drinking, Broner shut the narrative down directly. “Sober the whole day, chat,” he said, before outlining plans for the next morning: “Tomorrow we’re going to hit the gym in the morning.”
Later in the stream, when someone reminded him about an upcoming fight, Broner snapped back into fight mode. “Hey, SSB, I got a whole fight Saturday,” he said before adding, “Brother, focus, man.”
Broner also spoke about wanting structure around his comeback plans. “We hitting the gym tomorrow 12:30 in the morning,” he said while discussing training with friends during the livestream.
The comments arrive during one of the most publicly turbulent stretches of Broner’s career. Earlier this year, his appearance on Cam’ron and Ma$e’s It Is What It Is podcast went viral after the interview spiraled into uncomfortable exchanges with co-hosts Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson and Arabia Tillery.
The situation escalated until Broner was removed from the set, with Cam later calling him a “junkie” and “alchy” in footage posted online.
Not long after that incident, another viral clip surfaced showing Broner asking for ride money, prompting Ryan Garcia to publicly offer support. Garcia posted: “Sad to see, AB if you see this call me. Let’s get you situated. No need to keep drinking. Let’s be better.”
At the same time, people close to Broner have continued defending him. Blue Blood Sports TV recently claimed Broner appeared impaired during fight weekend in Las Vegas before the Cam’ron interview ever happened, arguing that people around him should have protected him rather than turning the moment into content.
