In a wild video circulating on social media, various New York Yankees and New York Mets fans got into a brawl following the latter's win against the former at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, July 23.
As reported by TMZ, the fight went down after the Mets' victory against the Yankees in Game One of the two-game Subway Series. In one of the concourses of Yankee Stadium, the fight broke out after two women in Yankees jerseys started to grapple each other, as the full video shared by Fireside Yankees on Facebook shows. A man in a Yankees jersey responded by pushing away one of the women, which prompted a man in a Mets jersey to push him back.
At one point in the clip, one of the Yankees fans removes his jersey and yells out while flexing his muscles. He then punched a Mets supporter in the face, as someone behind the camera chanted, "Fuck him up! Fuck him up!" The situation briefly appeared to be calming down, but not before more people got involved and security had to break up the fight.
