The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will introduce a special four-point shot.
As detailed by the league, the AT&T 4-Point Shot will see the introduction of four circles, two on each half of the court, above the three-point line. At a distance of 28-feet from the rim, the circles will also be accompanied by three other special rules designed to make the game more exciting for WNBA fans.
Other rule changes include the shot clock being shortened to 20 seconds during the game, teams having the ability to make live-play substitutions, and players will be credited with the maximum available points when they shoot free throws.
The AT&T WNBA All-Star Game 2025 will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier have been named the team captains after gaining the most fan votes. Clark's team will also feature Aliyah Boston, Sabrina Ionescu, and Kelsey Mitchell, while Collier will be joined by the likes of Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, and Angel Reese. Clark is currently dealing with a groin injury that may keep her out of the game.
On the Friday before the game, the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest and Kia WNBA Skills Challenge will air at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. The All-Star Game itself will be broadcast on ABC.
