Travis Kelce Says He Will Visit White House 'Regardless of Who Is in Office'

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wants to celebrate his team's Super Bowl win at the White House "regardless of who is in office." His teammate, Frank Clark, has already admitted he has "mixed emotions" about the post-victory White House visit, but Kelce told TMZ that he thinks it's a "crazy opportunity" for him and the team.

When asked by TMZ if he was excited to visit the nation's capital, he replied, "Oh yeah, always man. It's a crazy opportunity." Kelce added that he hasn't talked to the rest of the team to see how they feel, however. For what it's worth, Tyreek Hill, Bashaud Breeland, and head coach Andy Reid have all indicated they will definitely join the visit. Donald Trump has also said he's excited to host the Chiefs and added, "every one of them wants to be here."

Shortly after the video made its way online, Kelce took to Twitter to explain himself further. "Grew up my whole life watching teams win championships and then go to the White House and get recognized for their greatness," he tweeted. "Regardless of who is in office I think it's a unique opportunity to experience our nations Capital." Kelce fell short of saying anything about Trump in particular, but a number of teams have passed on White House visits in recent years, most notably when the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Finals in 2017 and 2018.
