Stephen A. Smith brought his daughter Samantha on an episode of his eponymous podcast, and had a comically oversized reaction when she let slip the name of a guy he'd never heard of before.
She shouted out a friend named Jaylin, noting that he was watching the live YouTube stream of the episode.
"Who's Jaylin? Who's Jaylin?" Smith asked. In response, Samantha covered her mouth and laughed. She went on to explain that Jaylin is one of her friends, an Atlanta-based actor who is "very successful."
Smith clenched his fist and made a pained face in response.

Smith recently brought Samantha to an episode of NBA Countdown, where he almost immediately appeared to regret his decision when he asked her for her picks on who would take take home the NBA championship between Thunder and Pacers. "I'm going OKC," she replied, correctly predicting the outcome of the season.
"You’re going against your daddy on national television," Smith said to her.
"I think he knows I’m right, guys," Samantha responded.
During another clip, she introduced herself and said that she's "so happy" to be joining her father at work, and she had made a lot of friends. "You just got here five minutes ago," Smith replied. Samantha, seemingly unfazed, replied, "This is a really great experience and I feel really grateful to be here."
