Former MLB pitchers John Rocker and Pat Mahomes Sr.—the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes—got into a tense confrontation while in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

In a video circulating online, the 54-year-old Mahomes and 50-year-old Rocker appeared to get into an argument on Bourbon Street after Rocker approached Mahomes.

While it's unclear what the men were saying, it appears as though Rocker extended his hand, and Mahomes hit his hand away.

Onlookers then stepped in between the former athletes to stop them from exchanging blows. As their body language became increasingly aggravated, Mahomes was escorted away by a pair of men.

Rocker, who maintains an active presence on Elon Musk's X sharing his political opinions and memes, later reposted the video.

"This fucking loser can't take a damn joke," he wrote of Rocker. "Wish I laid him out right there and ruined his bullshit weekend even more."

The two former MLB stars kept the argument going online after Mahomes tweeted at Rocker.

"You really haven't changed one bit in the last 25 years," Mahomes wrote. "Keep my name out your loud mouth."

Rocker replied, "You wouldn't have had the balls to say that to my face the other night. Lanky ass clown."

He continued to threaten Mahomes and said he was "lucky" he got away.

"FUCK PATRICK MAHOMES," he tweeted. "I would have rocked him."

Mahomes kept the tweets to a minimum but called Rocker a "menace to society."

Rocker has remained a controversial figure long after he retired from the MLB in 2003. He faced significant criticism in 1999 after he went on a racist rant when asked by a Sports Illustrated reporter if he would play for a New York-based team in his career.

Rocker described New York City as "the most hectic, nerve-wracking city" and said, "The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners."
