Gymnast Gabby Douglas has suggested that she's "constantly being bullied."

TikTok user legacy.jai recently shared a video in which she complained how gymnastics fans "dropped" the 28-year-old Olympic gold medalist the moment that 27-year-old Simone Biles began to dominate the sport. "I still never forget how y'all fumble Gabby Douglas," she said in the video.

"Y'all dropped her like a bad habit when Simone Biles came on the scene. Gabby Douglas used to be the greatest Olympic gymnast... and then here comes Simone Biles," she continued. "Nobody cares about Gabby Douglas anymore. When's the last time you thought about Gabby Douglas? I think about her all the time."

Douglas saw the video and dropped a comment thanking her for the support. "That's ok!" she wrote. "Constantly being bullied is very tiring and wearing on me. I just want to live my life and be at peace. ... Thanks for the love! Definitely needed in this world x."

At the 2012 Olympics, Douglas became the first African American to become the Olympic individual all-around champion. She was also the first gymnast from the United States to win gold in team and individual all-around competitions. She trained to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics but withdrew after sustaining an injury. She announced that she plans to compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

In an interview with People earlier this week, Biles said that Douglas has always been a huge inspiration for her.

"It was representation," she said. "For all the little girls and boys that look like us, for them to believe in themselves that they can do it too. I was one day in their shoes when I saw Gabby [Douglas] win and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, if she can do it, I can do it.'" Biles picked up three gold medals and one silver at the Olympics this year, becoming the American Olympic gymnast with the most medals ever.
