When the reports of Jimmy Butler's trade from the Miami Heat to the Golden State Warriors broke, one fan took it upon himself to tell his teammates sitting on the bench in the middle of a game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

As seen in the clip below, the fan told Kevin Love, Tyler Herro, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. about the trade as the news first surfaced online. "You got Kyle Anderson, Dennis Schroder, and Andrew Wiggins," he said to the three players, who all turned around to hear what he had to say. "Anything else? Any draft capital?" Love asked. "We robbed them," the fan added.

As reported by NBC Miami, the fan has been identified as Shant Solmaz, who said he wanted to inform the players of the news when the opportunity arose.

"When the crowd was silent, I yelled to the bench, 'We won the trade boys, we won the trade,'" he said. "And tyler [Herro] looked back at me. He said, 'What'd you say?' And then I said, 'Jimmy went to the Warriors,' and then Kevin Love turned back around and he was like, 'Wait, what? For who?' And then all of them started to like, be invested in it."

ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Wednesday, Feb. 5 that the Miami Heat were finalizing a deal with the Golden State Warriors that saw Butler finally get that trade he's been asking for. As part of the deal, Miami got Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, and a protected first-round pick. Butler has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $121 million extension with the Warriors.

On social media, Butler said of the news, "Welcome to the wild wild west."
