In a post following the Philadelphia Eagles' victory at the Super Bowl, C.J. Gardner-Johnson took shots at the Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and appeared to reference his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
On his Instagram Stories, Gardner-Johnson shared a picture of him facing off against Kelce on the field. "Should've stayed w that thick sh*t," he captioned the image, in an apparent reference to Kelce's love life.
The 27-year-old Eagles safety won his first Super Bowl on Sunday, putting an end to the Chiefs' hopes of landing a three-peat. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2023 and 2024, with Kelce playing a big part of their victory alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Eagles won 40-22, giving the team plenty to gloat about.
From 2017 to 2022, Kelce was in a relationship with Kayla Nicole, before he began dating Taylor Swift in 2023. Swift was in attendance on Sunday, and was booed by a portion of the audience when she was shown on the jumbotron alongside friend and collaborator Ice Spice.
Nicole also appeared to relish in the Eagles' victory on Sunday, when she shared a video of her celebrating on the football field.
