UPDATE:

The NFL has released a statement on—cringe—"Headsetgate":

See original story below.

For most of the first half of tonight's NFL season opener in Foxboro, the Pittsburgh Steelers were dealing with faulty headsets. During the postgame press conference, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters:

Mike Tomlin PISSED about Steelers headsets going out. This is good. pic.twitter.com/VgYrJt0pBx

Prior to that statement, he stated that this type of thing is "always the case" when playing New England on the road. And when one reporter tried to get him to clarify, Tomlin snapped back saying, "I said what I said."

This was also posted on the Steelers' website last night, though it's unclear whether or not the team approved of it:

The New England Patriots continue to walk the fine line between cheating and gamesmanship.
