Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement yesterday, and people are already speculating about his return to the league. Gronk's agent Drew Rosenhaus was on ESPN Monday morning, saying that he could see the Patriots tight end returning if Tom Brady sent out a distress beacon.

“If the team was struggling or they needed him at some point next year, and let’s just say hypothetically Tom Brady gave him a call and said ‘Rob, I need you.’ I wouldn’t be shocked if he came back to play a few games,” Rosenhaus shared on ESPN's Get Up.

Rosenhaus' comments echoed similar ones he made to Peter King. While Rosenhaus wasn't quoted directly saying that he could see Gronk coming back next year, King wrote that it "wouldn't shock him" if he returned in 2019.

In that interview, Rosenhaus shared Gronk's reasoning for walking away, explaining that he wanted to end on a high note.

“It’s time. I just won another championship," Gronk said, per Rosenhaus. "I’m going out on top. I just want to do nothing for a while. I just want to be me. I just want to have fun.”

Back on ESPN, Rosenhaus said that Gronkowski is looking forward to taking a breather.
