The surprise victory of Andy Ruiz Jr. over Anthony Joshua had obvious reverberations. For one, Ruiz became an instantaneous quadruple-belt holder. But Deontay Wilder thinks that the fight will live on in Joshua's head well after Ruiz has ceded his belts.

"Joshua, I think he's a broken man. Mentally, he's done," Wilder told TMZ.

He went on to say that Joshua isn't going to rebound from his loss, saying that the boxer rolled over in the title fight.

"When you perform that way as a champion?" he said. "He gave up! He quit!"

Wilder has antagonized Joshua in the past, accusing him of avoiding a match while they were both champions. He took the occasion of his loss to point out that he still thinks Joshua is a chump.

Wilder had previously congratulated Ruiz for his win, wishing him "many more blessings to come."

Ruiz is hoping to test his mettle against Wilder. He said that he wants to box the champion, but he needs to get through a rematch first. Joshua immediately called for a do-over after his stunning loss.

"That's what we're aiming for," Ruiz said recently. "But first things first, I got to get Joshua."
