Marcus Jordan is celebrating a major milestone in his journey with sobriety.

Over the weekend, the 34-year-old son of Michael Jordan said he was celebrating 40 days of sobriety with a post to his Instagram Story along with a photo from a workout room.

“40 days & counting,” read the post, along with “loading” and “in progress” text.

The update comes months after Marcus was arrested in Florida after police found his Lamborghini Urus stuck on train tracks. Officers on the scene reported that he appeared to be intoxicated, displayed belligerent behavior, and refused a breathalyzer test.

His charges included DUI with property damage, resisting arrest, and ketamine possession. As seen in a video footage of the arrest, Marcus attempted to identify himself as Michael Jordan’s son while speaking to the police.

Days later, more details about Marcus’ arrest surfaced online such as demanding the officers play Mariah Carey music.

He was released that same day on $4,000 bond and later pleaded not guilty to his DUI charges.

In March, TMZ reported that Marcus acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse through court filings made by his legal team.

In the filing, Marcus’ team requested that he be allowed to enter a Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program and argued it would "not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses."

They added Jordan is "amenable to treatment" and will waive his right to a speedy trial if his request to enter the program is granted.

No hearing date has been scheduled yet to discuss the motion.
