Police were recently called to Iman Shumpert's Atlanta home after a reported verbal dispute in which a woman claimed he hit her.
According to a police report reviewed by TMZ, officers arrived to the residence on Nov. 26 at around 4:37 AM and said they saw Shumpert placing a suitcase outside. He told them he had repeatedly asked a woman, identified as Joanna Donnejour, to leave.
Donnejour told police they argued in his room about his communication with another woman while a separate female guest was there, and she said he removed her from the room by "dragging her by her wrist and foot toward the stairs."
She said she had ordered a ride before police arrived and wanted to press charges, alleging Shumpert "hit her."
According to the report, there were no visible markings or bruises on Donnejour's body. No charges were filed.
TMZ reports that Donnejour can be heard in police bodycam footage telling Shumpert: "See you in court and on Instagram in the morning."
In a statement shared with TMZ, Shumpert says, “Last week, I had friends over and a visitor at my residence was politely asked to leave several times after I witnessed her damaging personal property.
"The police were called, invited inside and they spoke with multiple people who saw what happened. After assessing the situation, the police instructed her to leave repeatedly. She refused to vacate the property after being asked to leave multiple times and only after the officers escorted her outside did she eventually depart."
He concluded, "This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation."
