It begins.

In their first offer to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly said they are willing to part with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Michael Beasley, Rajon Rondo, and a first-round pick for Anthony Davis, ESPN reports.

Despite the offer, it doesn't seem like the Pelicans are biting—for now.

With the NBA's trade deadline being Feb. 7, we'll find out where Davis ends up very soon.

Speaking to the press about why he wants out of New Orleans, Davis said: "It’s my time. I feel like I gave this city, the organization, fans everything I felt like I could. I don't know how long I'm gonna play this game. People's careers are short. I feel like it's my time to move on."
