Kevin Durant on His Decision to Join Warriors: 'I Wanted to Play There and Live in the Bay'

Durant stopped by Showtime's 'All The Smoke' to chat with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

Kevin Durant linked up with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson for the latest episode of Showtime's All The Smoke.

During the wide-ranging discussion, Durant touched on why he left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors and said that he wanted a "change."

Speaking of the Warriors, the team went up against the Nets on Wednesday night. Former teammates Durant and Steph Curry were both in attendance, though neither played, and shared a hug after the game.

While talking to reporters, Steve Kerr said he was looking forward to seeing Durant. "We haven't talked during the season, but I saw him this summer and we had a really good conversation," the Warriors coach said, per ESPN. "The main thing is I want him to be healthy and get back to playing. He loves playing so much. I miss watching his post-practice workouts. He was a mesmerizing post-practice player, and I mean that sincerely. It was fun to watch that every single day, so I miss that."

Elsewhere in the All The Smoke episode, Durant talked about Draymond Green, signing with the Brooklyn Nets, connecting with Kyrie Irving, and Twitter. On the subject of Twitter, Durant said he's "still going to do that burner thing... I just slipped up that one time."

Durant also talked about his relationship with James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Although he admitted that "it's not like it used to be" he said that "it's always respect."
