Earlier this week, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed huge contract extensions. The next NFL star to cash out? Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald.

Donald and the Rams have reportedly agreed to a six-year, $135 million deal. That figure makes Donald the highest-paid defensive player in league history.

Only five players (including Rodgers) have ever been given more guaranteed money at the time of signing their deals, and all five were quarterbacks.

Donald, who turned 27 this summer, has spent all four of his NFL seasons with the Rams. He's racked up 39 sacks, or 9.8 per year, in addition to 205 tackles.

The Rams drafted Donald, who played his college ball at Pittsburgh, with the No. 13 pick in the 2014 draft. He's a four-time Pro Bowler and was named the 2017 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Now, the question is: when will the Oakland Raiders bring out the Brink's trucks for stud defensive end Khalil Mack?
