Michael Vick’s storied NFL career—with the super-high highs and super-low lows—has officially come to an end. If you haven’t read it yet, you should absolutely check out his riveting reflection in the Players’ Tribune posted earlier this week.

Vick held a retirement party at Grooves in Houston Saturday night, ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl in the same city. As he left the party, a TMZ cameraman got a few seconds of his time. The reporter asked Vick whether the former Falcons’ quarterback believes he should be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

“I’ll let the people decide on that,” Vick said.

The cameraman pressed, though, asking whether Vick thought he should be inducted.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Vick said. “I changed the game.”

It’s hard to debate that. Though there were mobile quarterbacks before Michael Vick, he truly made “dual-threat QB” a household term. In addition to being a prolific passer with a canon for an arm, at the height of his powers, he rushed for 1,039 yards. Oh, and let’s not forget about his avatar's Madden dominance.

So, what’s Vick’s next step?

“I’ve got so much planned, man,” Vick said. “The fans keep me motivated. I don’t know, man, coaching might be my calling, but we’ll see. I’ve gotta get my degree.”

Vick, who seems to have a good perspective on his career, didn’t seem too bothered by the prospect of not making it into the Hall of Fame. Some other recently retired stars—hello, Terrell Owens—seem to care quite a bit more.
