After War of Words, The Giants Secondary And Terrelle Pryor Are Dying to Face Each Other

Terrelle Pryor has had a career resurgence this year. Once an unstoppable Ohio State quarterback, Pryor flamed out as a QB in the NFL, never finding real success as a signal-caller with the Raiders, Seahawks, Chiefs, or Bengals.

Last year, however, he converted to wide receiver. This year, that move has paid huge dividends for both Pryor and the Browns, who somewhat lucked into a very solid wideout.

Pryor had only two career catches before this season, but this year he has amassed 56 catches for 724 yards and four touchdowns. Though the Browns have had shaky quarterback play—that’s putting it nicely—the 6-foot-4 Pryor has turned into a reliable, athletic, big target.

The New York Giants, however, say they’re unimpressed, according to Cleveland.com.

Giants defensive back Janoris Jenkins was asked if he thought covering Pryor would be a challenge. His response? “No.”

“Because he’s another receiver,” Jenkins said. “He’s just big.”

New York safety Landon Collins echoed Jenkins’ “meh” evaluation.

“Pryor only has some height over [Jenkins],” Collins said. “Other than that…Pryor is not as fast as him, or as quick, so [Jenkins] is going to be able to beat some of his routes before he gets to them.”
