Emily Austen, a Fox Sports reporter who does sideline work for Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Rays games, has lost her job after making several racist and anti-Semitic jokes on a Barstool Sports show Thursday, according to Deadspin. Austen appeared on a Facebook Live broadcast that has since disappeared from Barstool's Facebook page. Barstool put up a post saying they intended for the video to stay up and deleted it by accident.

A Vimeo user cataloged the broadcast, which you can watch below:

The "highlights" of Austen's terrible appearance:

  • Calling Kevin Love a “little b****” multiple times
  • Saying the “Chinese guy is always the smartest guy in math class”
  • Saying she “didn’t even know that Mexicans were that smart”
  • Calling Jewish people stingy and bemoaning her days serving them as a waitress. “They would complain and b**** about everything.”

Damn, Daniel. Credit to Fox Sports Florida, however, for responding quickly. The company's senior vice-president, Steve Tello, has issued the following statement:

"We were made aware that Emily Austen appeared in a social media video unaffiliated with FOX Sports in which she made insensitive and derogatory comments. She was not speaking on behalf of FOX Sports, nor do we condone any of the statements she made in the video. Emily has been advised that her comments were unacceptable, and she is not scheduled to appear on any upcoming FOX Sports Florida or FOX Sports Sun broadcasts."

It's a safe guess that Austen is steering clear of social media at the moment.
