The Cavs Have Agreed to a Contract Extension With Kevin Love

When LeBron James agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, the question for Cleveland fans then became: what happens to the Cavs now? The team's future will apparently involve Kevin Love.

Love has agreed to a four-year contract extension, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

A five-time All-Star, Love joined the Cavs in 2014 when Cleveland sent top pick Andrew Wiggins (and former top pick Anthony Bennett) to Minnesota. Love is entering his fifth season with Cleveland. He's helped the squad make the Finals in each of the past four seasons.

Love has changed his game and become more of an outside threat since moving to the Eastern Conference. During his run with Cleveland, he has shot 37.7 percent from downtown. His point (17.1) and rebound (10.0) averages dropped as he adjusted to playing alongside LeBron.

A 10-year NBA veteran, Love has averaged 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game over the course of his career. After spending one season at UCLA, he declared for the 2008 draft. Memphis selected him No. 5 overall, right after his college teammate Russell Westbrook, then sent Love to Minnesota in a later trade involving Mike Miller and O.J. Mayo.
