After launching at an exclusive SoHo pop-up last month, the Vandy x Atmos x ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 'Banana Split’ collab is dropping again on the Complex Shop this week in the “Strawberry” colorway.
Designer Vandy the Pink’s nostalgic take on the model features pink mesh, metallic silver overlays, and yellow accents inspired by banana splits—a treat he never had growing up in South Korea, but discovered after moving to the U.S. The detailing carries through to the laces, which have a fuzzy texture meant to look like whipped cream. The ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 builds on the mesh runner trend that’s still going strong by combining the upper of the ASICS Nimbus 10 with the midsole of the ASICS Kayano 14.
