If you weren't one of the lucky individuals who were able to secure the Mars Yard 3.0 through the I.S.R.U. program this month, Tom Sachs and Nike have prepped another sneaker release that's designed to serve as a consolation prize.
Sachs unveiled his new General Purpose Participation Shoe on the latest episode of the Complex Sneakers Podcast. The sneaker's promotion also includes the same style ad as the original run of the General Purpose Shoe back in 2022. The messaging says that this iteration is releasing exclusively to those who participated in the I.S.R.U. program but weren't selected in the allocation for the Mars Yard 3.0.
The General Purpose Participation Shoe features a grey-based upper offset by light yellow accents on the Swoosh and piping at the forefoot. Red I.S.R.U. branding appears on the medial side, the upper's pull tabs, and the heel.
Pre-orders for the General Purpose Participation Shoe are now open for those who fit the aforementioned criteria on the I.S.R.U. app. The sneaker will ship out sometime in summer 2026 and retails for $110.
