After months of teasers and early looks shared by various Miami sports legends on social media, we now have more info about the much-anticipated SoleFly x Air Jordan 3.
The Miami-based boutique's upcoming Air Jordan 3 collab will release in Miami in early December. The Miami connection to the shoe, with the vibrant orange and green accents, are unmistakable, but there’s also a deeper connection. SoleFly says the inspiration is actually a reference to its owner, Carlos Prieto, and his family’s move from Cuba to Miami.
Much like Prieto’s family, this project is also designed to highlight the broader migrant communities in Florida. For the release of this project, the duo has brought in Miami-based Latin American restaurant Palacio De Los Jugos as a community partner while also highlighting its business journey that began as a humble fruit stand.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 features a premium white leather upper that's paired with soft suede panels in green and orange at the forefoot and heel, respectively. SoleFly's logo is debossed on the heel counter and also appears on the hang tag. The shoes also come in a co-branded dustbag and an elevated shoebox.
Also releasing as part of this SoleFly x Air Jordan collab is an apparel collection featuring t-shirts, a jacket, pants, and a hat, which appear in the images below.
This also isn't the first time that SoleFly and Jordan Brand have collaborated on an Air Jordan 3. The two entities' first project was a friends-and-family exclusive "Lotto" Jordan 3 from 2014.
Per SoleFly, it plans to celebrate both the Miami and the Latinx community with the release of its Air Jordan 3 collab. The sneaker will be dropping through an activation at Palacio de Los Jugos during Art Basel on Dec. 4 before its global launch at select Jordan Brand stockists, including in Mexico and Colombia, on Dec. 5.
