Adidas Originals and New Jersey-based sneaker boutique Sneaker Room have come together for a new Adistar Control 5 collab dropping soon.
This upcoming Sneaker Room x Adidas Adistar Control 5 is directly inspired by the island of Puerto Rico, as evidenced by its bold blue, red, and white color scheme inspired by its flag. The sneaker also has an interchangeable “PR” branding on the tongue’s velcro patch in addition to eight more Puerto Rico-inspired patches.
Adidas also confirmed that this collab is part of its Cornerstone Community program and ongoing investment in Puerto Rican communities.
To celebrate the launch of the project, Sneaker Room and Adidas are hosting an art exhibition in Puerto Rico on May 16 ahead of the official release of their Adistar Control 5 collab on May 30 at Snkrroom.com and in-store at Sneaker Room.
