Back in April, Slam Magazine celebrated its 30th anniversary by creating a multi-brand sneaker collection, with each pair inspired by a different Slam cover. One of the pairs that was revealed was an unreleased Nike Air Zoom Generation shown here.

This Slam x Nike AZG colorway is inspired by Slam Issue #78, which was released in 2004 and featured then-rookie LeBron James as the cover athlete. The sneaker features a red and black color scheme matching the hues from the aforementioned cover and is paired with lasered panels on the sides, with details referencing James' rookie season and his Slam cover story. Slam branding is also found on the tongue and at the center of the heel.

According to sources familiar with the project, the Slam x Nike Air Zoom Generation is for friends and family only and won't be released to the public. Scroll on for a closer look at the sneaker.
