A new version of the Nike Shox has been unveiled via the Shox Z silhouette pictured here.

US Open Women's champion Aryna Sabalenka quietly debuted the shoe when she stood on the podium earlier this month. The Shox Z appears to be a sleeker and more refined version of the R4 version, but features a lower and more flexible upper. A version of the signature Shox cushioning tech appears on the heel, connecting the upper to the outsole.

Nike also revealed multiple colorways of the Shox Z, including black and red, sail, grey, volt, brown, and burgundy.

"In designing the Nike Shox Z, we wanted to create a new look that can be worn to a party or around town, helping athletes feel comfortable and expressive while navigating different spaces, whether they’re low-key and casual or a bit more elegant," Carlos Escobar, the lead designer of the Shox Z, said. “This silhouette is cool, it’s relaxed, it’s vibrant, all without trying too hard to be sporty or stylish, and it makes a great addition to any closet."

The Nike Shox Z is available now at Nike.com in China and will launch globally in the upcoming season.
