Nike will continue to honor the legacy of Vanessa and Kobe Bryant's late daughter, Gigi, with a new Kobe 9 colorway coming soon.
Here is the first look at the "Mambacita" Kobe 9 Low, which Vanessa previewed on Instagram yesterday. The sneaker sticks to the traditional black and white color scheme used on previous "Mambacita" styles inspired by the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation jerseys. Elevating the look is the gold-colored Swoosh on the sides, Kobe's logo on the tongue, and "Gigi" written on the heel. Additional detailing is found on the marbled heel counter and outsole.
Thus far, Nike has released a "Mambacita" colorway for the Kobe 6, Kobe 4, and the Kobe 8.
While release details for the "Mambacita" Kobe 9 Low have yet to be announced, the sneaker is expected to drop on May 1, coinciding with Gigi's birthday. Check back soon for official updates.
