Not only is Nike planning to rerelease the “Fade to Black” Kobe 11 this year but the brand is bringing back the “Mamba Day” iteration of the shoe soon.

Official images of the upcoming Nike Kobe 11 Protro (style code: IU4902-900) have emerged ahead of the purported April 13 release. This black and metallic gold makeup originally launched on the brand’s Nike By You customization platform, formerly known as NikeID, to celebrate Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game on April 13, 2016.

The graphic on the upper features significant moments and milestones pulled from Bryant’s basketball career, while the tongue features his signature Sheath logo in gold. This version features the year “2026” on the back of the tongue to differentiate it from the original pair.

Despite images surfacing, release details for this “Mamba Day” Kobe 11 Protro have not yet been announced by Nike. Check back soon for new developments in the coming weeks.
