One of the most beloved Nike Foamposite Pro colorways is set to make its way back to retailers this year. According to powerhouse sneaker leaker accounts Sneaker Files, @Sneakermarketro, and @zSneakerheadz on Instagram, the “Dr. Doom” Foamposite Pro is returning before the end of the year.

The black and white-colored iteration of the classic Nike Basketball model was introduced in 2006 as part of a multi-shoe “Fantastic Four” pack, which consisted of the Air Max 90, the Air Force 1 Low, the Air Max 95, and the Dunk High. Each of the aforementioned styles was unofficially tied to each member of Marvel Comics’ The Fantastic Four, with the Foamposite Pro representing the villain, Dr. Doom. It’s worth mentioning that none of the sneakers were designed in collaboration with Marvel.

Images of this year’s “Dr. Doom” Foamposite Pro have yet to surface, but the leaker accounts suggest it will be a straightforward retro. The colorway features a predominantly black color scheme paired with a white Swoosh on the sides, a white sockliner, and a white outsole.

At the time of writing, the “Dr. Doom” Foamposite Pro retro has not yet been confirmed by Nike. Check back soon for official updates.
