Nike is referencing an iconic New York City music club for the upcoming Dunk Low release, as seen in the images here from leaker @Brandon1an on X.
That venue is the CBGB club, known to be the birthplace of New York City's rock, folk, and punk music scene. The space has since closed in October 2006, but Nike is able to still capture its essence through the Dunk colorway with the rugged look on the upper's overlay panels and tattered tongue tag. Nike branding on the tongue and heel tab is also written in CBGB's iconic font, while the intersecting streets of the club appear behind the tongue, despite Bleecker St. being misspelled on the left shoe. The insoles also feature a special graphic resembling the various sticker walls within the club.
Despite images of this CBGB-inspired Nike Dunk Low surfacing, release details for the style have yet to be announced by the brand. Check back soon for official updates.
