More than a year has passed since we learned about Nigo's partnership with Nike, and now we're finally getting details on the first wave of products from the collaborators.

The inaugural Nigo x Nike collection will debut this weekend, featuring a colorful Air Force 3 and an apparel range. According to the Swoosh, the color palette draws inspiration from one of Nigo's favorite television genres from when he was younger. The sneaker uses a mixture of different leathers on the upper, with special graphics appearing on the tongue and heel.

"Nike truly has many masterpieces," Nigo said. "The AF3 is a hidden masterpiece that I remember loving at the time. Through my first collaboration with Nike, I want to reintroduce everyone to its magnificence."

On the apparel side, the collection includes a matching varsity jacket and hoodie donning colors inspired by Nigo's favorite Japanese cartoons.

It's also worth noting that this collection will be available as Nike x Ogin in select markets, including China and Japan, flipping Nigo's name to serve as a nod to how the Japanese designer's work has been reinterpreted in different parts of the world.

Nigo's first Nike collection drops on Saturday, Sept. 28, exclusively at Otsumo Plaza in Tokyo, humanmade.jp, and at the "I Know Nigo 2" pop-up store in New York. A global launch for the collab will take place on Oct. 4 via SNKRS and at select retail locations.
