Adidas Originals is collaborating with the popular video game franchise Minecraft on a range of footwear and apparel.
In the leaked images of the sneakers shared by Sole Retriever, the classic Superstar and Handball Spezial are be included in the lineup and inspired by the characters the Creeper and the Enderman, respectively.
The collaborative Superstar sports a simple white-based color scheme on the upper contrasted by pixelated details on the sides of the Three Stripes branding and heel. The shoe also comes with a special Creeper-inspired lace lock at the forefoot.
The Handball Spezial wears a stealthy black-based makeup resembling the Enderman, and in addition to the co-branding at the midfoot, a graphic of the character's eyes is stamped on the heel.
Per Sole Retriever, the full Minecraft x Adidas collection will be released sometime in June, but the release info has yet to be announced by the brand.
UPDATE (03/24): Adidas has officially confirmed that its collaborative Minecraft collection releases on April 1 at Adidas.com and at select retailers, coinciding with the launch of A Minecraft Movie hitting theaters on April 4. Included in the range is the Superstar dropping in kids' and toddler sizes along with matching apparel pieces inspired by the video game's iconic designs.
