New Balance is collaborating with Italian luxury fashion brand Loro Piana on a premium take of the popular 990v6. News of the project was first reported by Sole Retriever earlier this week, with the leaked images shared by @sneakers_nstuff on Instagram.
Today we can also confirm that the upcoming Loro Piana x New Balance 990v6 will retail for $1,500. Combining both entities' affinity for craftsmanship and quality, the silhouette has been elevated with Loro Piana's undyed Pecora Nera wool, known for being durable but also soft to the touch. Mesh also appears throughout the rest of the upper, including for the sock liner, while the silhouette's signature FuelCell cushioning technology is equipped in the midsole.
Readers who are interested in copping this Lora Piana x New Balance 990v6 collab will be able to do so starting on Sept. 5 at select pop-up stores. Specific details on the stockists have yet to be announced.
