NBA legend Dwyane Wade cemented himself as one of the greatest players to ever play the sport when he was inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this month. And despite the fact that Wade has closed the curtain on his professional career for a few years now, fans can still expect releases from his Li-Ning Way of Wade signature line.
The Chinese sportswear company confirmed today that two special Li-Ning Way of Wade styles are hitting retail later this week. One of the pairs includes the first ever re-release of the Way of Wade 6 in the classic "Buzzer Beater" colorway (shown above). Wade famously wore the shoe on February 27, 2019, when he made the game-winning shot to give his Miami Heat team a victory over the Golden State Warriors.
Also dropping this week is the "City of Angels" Way of Wade 10 Low, which was originally designed as a player-exclusive colorway for D’Angelo Russell. The sneaker was worn by Russell during the NBA Playoffs last season and dons a Los Angeles Lakers-inspired color scheme, however the pair that is releasing does not feature his custom "Dloading" logo.
Readers will be able to cop both the "Buzzer Beater" Way of Wade 6 and the "City of Angels" Way of Wade 10 Low globally on Aug. 24 at wayofwade.com.
