The longstanding legal saga between Adidas and its former partner Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, has concluded.

Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden spoke on a conference call earlier this morning, confirming that the two entities have reached an out-of-court settlement that ends all legal proceedings between them. News of the settlement was first reported by Reuters.

"Both parties said we don’t need to fight anymore and withdrew all the claims," Gulden said. "The agreement didn’t include any payments. No one owes anybody anything anymore. So whatever was is history."

Adidas found itself in a legal battle with Ye that began back in October 2022 after the brand ended its partnership with the rapper due to a string of antisemitic remarks he made on social media.

In May 2023, the brand began selling its remaining €300 million worth of Yeezys but paused sales for fear of backlash from selling shoes associated with Ye. Adidas began to sell its remaining Yeezys at cost throughout 2024, with pairs popping up at outlets for 70 percent off their retail prices.
