Finn Rush-Taylor Studio just dropped a new 3D-printed sneaker in collaboration with emerging footwear company Zellerfeld.

That pair is the Nami sneaker shown here, which is available now exclusively on the Zellerfeld app for $250. Founded by independent designer Rush-Taylor in 2020, his namesake VR design studio is best known for its exploration of products through digital lenses and 3D-printing, so this partnership makes sense given the benefits that come with Zellerfeld’s 3D-printing technology.

According to the collaborators, the Nami moniker is based on the Japanese translation of waves while the silhouette itself embodies Rush-Taylor’s signature asymmetrical approach to footwear design. The Nami shoe will be custom fitted and constructed of fully recyclable materials and doesn’t require any stitching or gluing. The silhouette features a slip-on design and wear a tonal purple color scheme.

“For the first time ever, a creative can launch his own sneaker brand from nothing,” Cornelius Schmitt, the CEO and co-Founder of Zellerfeld, said. “The release of the Nami is an absolute statement to the footwear industry. A statement for change, and for always being rebellious. I can’t wait for the bright future that awaits footwear after this.”
