San Antonio Spurs star point guard De'Aaron Fox has a new signature sneaker with Curry Brand on the way, as evidenced by these on-feet images.
The previously unseen Under Armour Curry Fox 2 was worn by Fox himself while sitting courtside at the NBA Summer League this week. The inaugural colorway is dressed in a tonal light blue hue. At the time of writing, the inspiration behind the style is currently unknown. Much like its predecessor, the new silhouette features a low-cut upper and has a strap that goes across the midfoot. Curry branding is briefly seen on the tongue and on the heel counter, while Flow cushioning is used for the midsole.
Despite an early look from Fox, the Under Armour Curry Fox 2 has yet to be officially unveiled by the brand. Check back soon for official updates.
UPDATE (08/18): After debuting it at the Summer League in July, Under Armour has announced that the Fox 2 signature shoe will release on Friday, Aug. 22, at UA.com and at select retailers for $120.
"With the Fox 2, I wanted to push the design in a new direction while still building off everything we created with the first shoe," Fox said in a statement. “There’s no other sneaker in the Curry Brand lineup that looks quite like it. We changed up the Flow, gave the strap a fresh look, and added details that really make it stand out on and off the court. It’s been a fun process, and I think people are really going to love what we came up with."
