Kyrie Irving is paying tribute to his late mother, Elizabeth, on Mother's Day with a special Anta release coming soon.
The "Mother's Day" Kai 2 will launch exclusively through the New Jersey-based sneaker boutique Sneaker Room this Saturday. Not only does this pair honor Elizabeth, but it also serves as a tribute to Sneaker Room CEO Suraj Kaufman's late mother.
This sneaker dons a tonal red color scheme throughout the entirety of the silhouette and has special embroidered designs on the heel. Both the names of Irving and Kaufman's mom are printed on the heel of the midsole, while a Mother's Day patch appears on the tongue.
Irving has released Mother's Day-themed sneakers since his partnership with Nike. Last year, Irving dropped his first "Mother's Day" Anta sneaker, which also launched through the Sneaker Room.
The "Mother's Day" Kai 2 will be available on May 3 at Snkrroom.com and at Sneaker Room in Jersey City.
