One of the more touching moments in Michael Jordan’s basketball career was when he won his fourth championship in 1996 on Father’s Day, which was his first title since his father’s passing. Now, Jordan Brand is paying tribute to that moment with an upcoming Air Jordan 3 release.

Dubbed “World’s Best Dad,” this Jordan 3 (style code: IF4396-103) replaces the elephant print on the upper with details that are inspired by the carpet MJ was lying on during the post-game celebration in ‘96. The rest of the shoe dons a Chicago Bulls-esque makeup, with a sail and black upper, red Jumpman and “Nike Air” branding, and a red outsole.

According to @zSneakerheadz on X, the “World’s Best Dad” Air Jordan 3 is expected to hit retailers on May 30. Check back soon for official updates from Jordan Brand.
