Jordan Brand is reportedly introducing a low-top version of the popular "Banned" Air Jordan 1 in 2026.

According to early info from leakers Sneaker Files, @zSneakerheadz, and @Sneakermarketro on Instagram, a "Banned" Jordan 1 Low (style code: HQ6998-001) will hit retailers next summer.

The black and red "Banned" Air Jordan 1 was first released as a high-top in 2011 in various Nike outlets due to the brand printing the wrong date of when the NBA banned Michael Jordan from wearing his Nike Air Ship in 1984. The sneaker featured the iconic "Bred" color scheme but had special details throughout the silhouette, like the red "X" graphic on the heel. Pairs were sold for $109.99 instead of their intended $125 retail price and have resold for upwards of $3,000 on the secondary marketplace.

There are currently no leaked images of the "Banned" Air Jordan 1 Low, but the mock-up depiction suggests that it will feature the identical "Bred" black and red blocking, the red "X" on the heel, and special packaging.

Check back soon for official updates on the "Banned" Jordan 1 Low, including a first look at the sneaker, in the coming months.
