Two versions are dropping this week.

One of Adidas' earliest signature sneakers is coming back this week with the return of NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Jabbar sneakers, shown here.

The Adidas Jabbar franchise was originally launched in 1978 and was the first basketball shoe to incorporate an athlete's face on the shoe. The latest re-issue of the Adidas Jabbar is offered in both the low ($100) and high-top ($110) versions and styled in a simple white and blue color scheme. Abdul-Jabbar branding is featured on the tongue of the sneakers and also appears on the accompanying shoe box.

Adidas has rereleased the Jabbar sneaker a handful of times since the original launch, including both the "Blueprint" Jabbar Hi and the "Lakers" Jabbar Lo in 2014.

Readers will be able to cop this "Royal Blue" Adidas Jabbar pack starting on Oct. 18 at Adidas.com and at select Adidas retailers. Scroll on for a closer look at both versions.
