FIFA and Mythical Games are gearing up for the launch of their latest mobile soccer game, FIFA Rivals, next week. Ahead of its release, the two entities have announced they're partnering with Adidas to bring its products into the game.
Launching on June 12, FIFA Rivals has been described as an "arcade-style mobile football game" where gamers can build their fantasy soccer team and compete against other users in head-to-head matches. The game will feature Adidas branding and products, allowing gamers to purchase digital items such as football kits, jerseys, and cleats. Adidas also says that the game will have football boot releases linked to real-world drops.
"FIFA Rivals is all about celebrating the global passion for football in a fresh and modern way," John Linden, the CEO and co-founder of Mythical Games, said. "Bringing Adidas into this world gives players a deeper cultural connection and the chance to represent one of the most iconic brands in football—on and off the pitch. This collaboration sets a new standard for how brands show up in digital experiences."
Gamers will be able to download FIFA Rivals in the App Store on June 12.
