Jaylen Brown and his independent footwear brand 741 are working with the 3D-printing footwear company Zellerfeld on a performance basketball sneaker, as seen in the images here.

Brown was spotted holding his 3D-printed 741 V1 prototype shoe while walking in the tunnel during the matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. In the images, we can briefly see that the silhouette features a mid-cut construction on the upper and has a shroud that wraps across the midfoot. For the actual game, Brown switched to his 741 Rover shoe.

"Performance footwear hasn’t evolved fast enough for the way athletes move today," Brown said. "What we’re exploring with 3D printing isn’t about presenting a final product; it’s about understanding what becomes possible when design can adapt directly to the athlete."

According to Zellerfeld, the 741 V1 prototype sneaker is currently in the early stages of development. Check back soon for updates as they become available.
