The FlyEase system is hitting Nike’s Air Force 1 Low silhouette in white, complete with a release window that’s timed with the impending warmer weather in mind.
The FlyEase system, which makes a handsfree sneaker experience possible for all Air Force 1 enthusiasts, is cleverly tucked away in the heel of the shoe. Meanwhile, the stitched-down elastic laces add to the experience by removing the need for tying.
The shoe also boasts a rubber outsole, complete with a classic pivot circle pattern that adds improved traction and durability, even for frequent wearers.
Get a closer look at the Air Force 1 FlyEase below. Nike hasn’t confirmed a release date, but the shoe is slated to arrive around July and will retail for $110.
We’ve previously seen FlyEase utilized in other silhouettes including the Chuck Taylor All Star, the LeBron Soldier, and more. The first FlyEase sneaker, as detailed in an expansive Complex piece on the design’s history by Matt Welty last September, was released in 2015. The inaugural FlyEase, seen then on a LeBron Soldier 8, was inspired by the story of Matthew Walzer—a 16-year-old with cerebral palsy.
Always worth noting when discussing FlyEase’s history, of course, is the involvement of the team at Kizik that makes much of the technology behind the handsfree sneaker possible. Skip Lei, the brand’s chief product officer, spoke with Complex at the time about the “collaborative” relationship Kizik and Nike have developed over time while uniting behind similar goals for consumers.
